Complex Data and Image Analysis - 1 Assistant Professor position:
RESEARCH UNIT/PROJECT: PRIAn - Pattern recognition and image analysis
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with experimental groups active in the fields of single-molecule imaging, in vivo fluorescence imaging, and magnetic resonance.
FIELDS: Image analysis, with particular reference to biological and medical images.
Specific areas of interest may include:
- Dynamic imaging and correlation analysis of image time-series
- Diffusion Tensor Imaging and MR tractography
- Complex Network analysis applied to dynamic and functional imaging
- Hierarchical clustering.
PROFILE: A Ph.D in physics/applied mathematics/informatics/bioinformatics is preferred.
A sound knowledge of image analysis methods, good command of image-oriented programming languages (e.g. IDL, MatLab) and an excellent track record of publications are required.
Previous experience with biomedical imaging is a plus, but applications from candidates with experience in other areas of image processing and analysis are welcome.
An excellent level of both written and spoken English is mandatory
